Tom Inger / Owner/Partner
Tom has been in the remodeling business for more than 30 years. He started his career as a draftsman, moved to a project manager, into sales and design, and continued working his way up to become a General Manager. As owner and Partner of Renovation by Design, Tom manages the company’s day to day operations, as well as the sales and design process of each project.

Tom received his Certified Remodeler’s certification (CR) in 1999. He also is a member of the Remodelers Advantage Roundtables which he works with through his peer groups to create a cutting edge design build, kitchen and bath business, as well as a member of National Kitchen and Bath Association NKBA.
In his free time Tom has very much enjoyed coaching and watching his two sons’ sporting events, as well as playing golf and hockey.
Jon Ropes / owner/partner
Jon Ropes has been in the remodeling and design industry for more than 20 years. His love of design wood working started during his high school years. While in college he expanded his knowledge studying architectural drafting and design. After college Jon spent many years working in the automotive industry. His attention to detail was an essential skill in the quality control field. In 2004, Jon started his own design/build company, Renovation by Design, where he could use his skills, as a master carpenter, along with his vision of design. Currently he co-owns and manages the day to day operations of the business, continually works to expand his knowledge and grow the company.
Jon is highly qualified. He is a licensed home builder and certified home inspector. He is an EPA certified RRP contractor and certified in Ward Flex gas pipe. Jon is involved with the Remodelers Advantage, where he can work with fellow business professionals to improve the business, as well as a member of National Kitchen and Bath Association NKBA.
Outside of work, Jon enjoys spending time up north with his family. He is an avid outdoorsmen who likes to hunt whitetail deer and fish. Jon also enjoys powered paragliding, strategic games, and golf.

Melissa Cesal / KITCHEN AND BATH DESIGNER
Melissa’s passion for architecture and residential design started at the young age of 13. From there, she spent two years at Kendall College of Art & Design focusing on interior design before realizing that architecture was her true passion. She graduated from Lawrence Technological University in 2000 with a Bachelors of Science in Architecture.
For over 20 years, Melissa has worked in the residential design-build field, developing and growing her design talents in customizing client’s homes into beautiful and functional living spaces.
Outside of the office, she likes to spend time with her husband and their 3 young boys, being involved in her church, watching almost anything on HGTV and spending hours looking at Pinterest or Houzz gathering new design ideas.
RONDA Ballard / KITCHEN AND BATH DESIGNER
Ronda worked in the interior design industry for 20 years before earning a degree in Interior Design and Certification in Kitchen and Bath design at Baker College. She graduated with honors and has spent the last 10 years focusing her design talents on the areas of the home that we spend most of our time in. The complexity of kitchen and bath design can be very challenging so her goal is to help each client make informed choices to create a space that they will enjoy for years to come. She finds it very rewarding to offer creative solutions that help her clients create beautiful and functional spaces that improve the quality of their everyday lives.
When she isn’t designing kitchen and baths, she enjoys spending time in her own kitchen cooking for her growing family, listening to music and painting.
Laurén McCabe / Kitchen and Bath Designer
Laurén is an experienced Interior Designer that has been in the design industry for over 12 years. She is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University, with a Bachelors of Science in Interior Design, as well a secondary Bachelors Degree in Apparel, Textiles, and Merchandising. Laurén started her career in Residential Design, specializing in Kitchen and Bath remodels. She feels that choosing a career in design has been rewarding and simply a blessing. Her passion for space planning and her strong attention to detail, have always captured her client’s design vision. She’s a member of the NKBA and likes to stay involved within the design industry.
Laurén enjoys traveling and staying active. She takes time to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and loves baking for her family.
DEANNA Benner / design assistant
Deanna joined Renovation by Design in 2018 as a Design Assistant. She happily assists the designers throughout the project, in all facets of design, keeps up on all of our social media pages and builder trend. Deanna holds an Associate Degree in Interior Design from Baker College.
Deanna has been active in the residential design-build field for nearly 4 years. When Deanna is out of the office, she loves traveling, hanging out with family, being on the water, and binge-watching Fixer Upper and Criminal Minds.
CATHY Impemba / book keeper / office manager
Cathy has an extensive background in retail management which helps her manage our showroom as the Office manager, she maintains our accounts payable and receivables and assists all departments when help is needed. After taking a break from the work force to raise her family, Cathy joined Renovation by Design in 2017.
Outside of work, Cathy enjoys spending time with her family and friends and traveling with her husband.
JIM Orlando / PROJECT MANAGER
A seasoned veteran of the construction industry since 1984 with nearly 16 years of project management experience. Jim started out in custom trim carpentry specializing in hardwood stairs & railings for 24 years. He has 7 years in masonry and stone experience, from here started into the remodeling industry.
Being a part of Renovation by Design has brought me much satisfaction and enjoyment. The goal of the company, as well as mine, is to have a happy and satisfied client at the completion of every project. The office staff along with the trades in the field makes the transition between dreams and reality an easy one.
Outside of work, Jim enjoys spending time with my family and friends, cooking and making “shine” and being outdoors.
ANDREW Bridges / assistant project manager / CARPENTER
Andrew has been a carpenter for over 14 years, 8 of those years were spent out in Las Vegas installing displays for Trade and Auto Shows. Here at Renovation by Design, he works as a carpenter and the Assistant Project Manager. He never turns down the opportunity to learn something new, which shows in his ability to solder and weld, design and build stain glass, build and repair computers and metal fabrication.
In his personal time, Andrew enjoys the outdoors, rebuilding things and maintaining bee colonies as a beekeeper.
SCOTT Blackett / carpenter
Scott has been exposed to the building industry throughout his entire life and is a seventh-generation carpenter. Though he has been a licensed builder for 18 years, and studied numerous aspects of art and design, Scott has applied his passions in cabinetry and millwork. His background in this field include the installation of custom cabinetry, millwork packages in luxury retail spaces, designing, fabricating, finishing and installing built-in cabinetry and installing complex molding details.
Outside of work, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, and taking family trips. He also enjoys blacksmithing, sewing, leather working, woodcarving and cutting wood on his sawmill.
Matthew Arnold / carpenter
Matt started in the construction field right after high school and fell in love with carpentry. He's been specializing this custom carpentry projects for almost 20 years now. He loves taking on new projects to which he can showcase his woodworking skills.
After work, Matt enjoys being outdoors, carving decoys and spending time with his wife and three kids.
Brad Delisi / laborer
Brad discovered he enjoys wood-working when he enrolled in a wood shop class in high school. Since then, it has been his passion to become involved with home renovations. His strong work ethic and ability to quickly pick up new skills makes him a strong asset. Brad is in charge of material deliveries, project site protections, clean ups and an extra set of hands for the carpenters which leads to beautiful home renovations.
When he’s not working, Brad enjoys DJ’ing and having a good time. He also has a close connection with his family and enjoys making people smile.
TONY Francisco / laborer
Tony enjoys helping others which makes his job as a construction laborer a great fit. He helps with cleaning and preparing job sites, loading and delivering materials and assisting the carpenters when needed.
In his personal time, Tony enjoys working with computers to design in 3D, gaming and spending time with his family and friends.
