This is your opportunity to meet with our team for a complimentary consultation at our Rochester Hills showroom, where we’ll discuss your project vision, goals, and Project Investment. Together, we’ll review your ideas, explore what you’d like to accomplish, and determine the best path forward.
During Discovery, we’ll focus on:
- Your project goals and vision
- How your current space functions
- Priorities for the renovation
- Your project scope
- Project Investment
During your showroom visit, you’ll have the opportunity to explore cabinet styles, countertop options, fixtures, finishes, and other design selections—helping you compare products, gather inspiration, and better define your vision.
This step is all about building a clear understanding of your goals while ensuring your project scope and Project Investment are aligned before moving into the design process.

Step Two: Design Planning — Turning Ideas Into a Concept
Once we’ve received your Design Retainer, we move into Design Planning.
This phase begins with a site visit to your home anywhere throughout Oakland County and surrounding service areas to document existing conditions, take measurements, and photograph the areas that will be affected by your project. Gathering accurate information at the start helps ensure the design is based on real-world conditions.
Design Planning typically includes:
- Measuring and documenting existing spaces
- Photographing project areas
- Reviewing structural and site conditions
- Developing a preliminary concept design
- Establishing an initial Project Investment range
At this stage, we’re focused on developing a design concept that aligns with your goals, priorities, and budget.
The result is a clear design direction and a preliminary investment range that will be outlined in your Design Agreement.

Step Three: Planning — Finalizing the Details
With the design direction established, we move into Planning. This phase focuses on turning the approved concept into a detailed, construction-ready plan for your kitchen remodel, bathroom renovation, home addition, or whole-home remodel.
Planning typically includes:
- Detailed floor plans and elevations
- 3D renderings of your space
- Material and finish selections
- Fixture, lighting, and appliance specifications
- Trade partner coordination and site review
Depending on your project, this phase includes finalizing cabinetry, countertops, fixtures, lighting, flooring, tile selections, appliances, and other finish details needed to prepare for construction.
Once all selections and design details are complete, we conduct a trade walk-through, establish a firm Project Investment, and prepare your Building Agreement.
By the end of this phase, every major decision has been made, and your project is ready to move confidently into construction.
Step Four: Construction — Bringing the Plan to Life
Once your Building Agreement is signed, construction preparations begin.
At this stage, we’ll order all project materials, finalize your construction schedule, and coordinate every detail before work starts. Prior to the first day of construction, you’ll meet with your Project Manager during a Pre-Construction Walkthrough to review the project, discuss expectations, and answer any remaining questions.
Throughout construction, you can expect:
- Materials ordered and project schedule finalized
- A Pre-Construction Walkthrough with your Project Manager
